Solstice Walk
SATURDAY - We are starting the Festival in style with a special Solstice Walk to celebrate the longest day on Saturday 21 June.
Meet at 5pm at Wye Church for a 5-6mile circular walk returning to Wye for dinner at the King's Head pub. The chef has prepared a special 2 course menu for £17.50 to celebrate Summer - Fish pie with wilted Ripple Farm greens; or Pork Wellington, rosti potato, roast Perry Court apple; or Jerusalem artichoke risotto, sherry vinegar reduction. Dessert is Pear and almond crumble; or Chocolate mousse cake, Perry Court strawberries and vanilla ice cream. After dinner we will walk to the Wye Crown to watch the sun go down.

Come and join us watch the teams compete to make the tastiest dish! The teams will be made up of 2 Wye
students working with 2 local people, each team of 4 will be given the ingredients to come up with a dish of their choice and cook it against the clock!

ALL WEEK, A selection of knitted vegetables will be hiding in shop windows in Wye, have a walk around Wye and see if you can spot all 9. Just for fun, answers on this website at the end of the festival.

Food Walks
MONDAY – FRIDAY (See above for Saturday Solstice Walk)
Weekday evening walks, all starting at Wye church at 7pm. All walks are led by qualified Rambler's Walk Leaders and guided by local experts (except Friday where there will be no local expert).
Monday, Wye Village Walk - Guided walk around Wye village so take the opportunity to discover more about this historic village. Then perhaps pop into one of the pubs or restaurants to indulge in some local food and drink!. 1 mile.
Tuesday, Perry Court Walk - A glorious walk across the Kent countryside to Perry Court and back and a chance to learn more about Perry Court with a guided tour by the owners. 5 miles
Wednesday, Ripple Farm Walk - Learn about the Wye allotments, Wye Bugs and Ripple Farm Organics whilst enjoying some fresh North Downs air. Mainly flat walk with 1 hill.. 3 miles
Thursday, Soup & a Stroll at Wye NNR - Piers Griffin, the Reserve Warden, will show us around the stunning National Nature Reserve and point out some of the rare plans and animals that live there. There will be a stop for some delicious soup half way round. Some steep ascents and descents. 2.5 miles
Friday, Wye Circular Walk - A walk with some spectacular views from the top of the Wye Downs. A mainly flat walk but with 1 very steep ascent and 1 steep descent.. 5 miles

And to help soak up the beer (!) a hog roast on Sauturday, and other food including jerk chicken, goat curry and burgers and hot dogs over the weekend.
